I did not buy this product, but used it when I worked at a retail store in the mall. Working in retail, where the mall air is continuously air-conditioned, and the constant rubbing of clothes and jeans against skin, can really do a number on your hands. Not only do you tend to develop brittle nails, but you also get very dry skin! The solution by my store was to purchase a store moisturizer, namely The Body Shop's Hemp Hand Protector. This smallish moisturizer comes in a shiny, silver, easy to handle, hard to lose tube. There are never enough products that come in toothpaste shaped tubes - it's so much more versatile and handy! The only downside with the packaging is that it didn't come with a flip-top lid, which would make application virtually one-handed! Someone had better remember me for this revolutionary idea when flip-top moisturizers become huge! Besides the packaging, this moisturizer is jammed pack with uber moisturizing ingredients: the main one being hemp, which reportedly contains tons of essential fatty acids that help restore the skin's moisture barrier and promotes smoothness and suppleness; ilantoin, a mineral-rich ingredient to revitalize; lanolin, another natural moisturizer; panthenol, which helps strengthen nails to reduce flaking and breakage; and glycerin, another common moisturizing agent.
A teeny pea-sized dollop is all that's needed to coat both your hands as this lotion is very thick. Upon application, one can immediately feel the effects in the form of a fresh tingling sensation on the skin. However, you really have to rub this lotion in, as it leaves an almost waxy coating on your skin. Plus, the hugest downside to this product is its overpowering smell. Apply only if your hands are seriously parched because you will smell like a combination of Vick's Vapor Rub and weed for the rest of the day, no joke. However, I tend to enjoy both those smells, so the strong scent was tolerable!
Final Verdict: an effective superhero of a moisturizer that is way too cheap for its quality, however it has a really stinky smell. Apply with caution.
